In a weekly upload, I was tasked with exploring notable structures around the world. This is done by quoting reliable sources to formulate a statement that details the structure's unique design decision, specific building element, and the experience created by that element. The statement is occupied by a sketch of the structure.

Design Statement
Each week, the DEE Statement series delves into globally recognized structures, analyzing distinct design decisions through extensive research and reputable architectural sources. This narrative captures the essence of each structure's design intent, focusing on the architect’s vision and the reasoning behind pivotal choices to uncover the deeper story of the structure's conception.

Element Statement

The DEE Statement also examines a specific architectural element that defines the building’s identity, such as a structural component, material choice, or facade detail. Highlighting one essential element that connects the design intent to the technical decisions shaping the overall composition. Each element is accompanied by a detailed sketch, providing a visual complement that enhances the building's aesthetic and functional character.

Experience Statement

The experience created by the architectural element is explored to reveal the atmosphere, interaction, and sensory impact it generates for occupants and visitors. This portion of the statement focuses on how the chosen element brings the building’s spatial qualities to life, illustrating how design elements fulfill structural roles while fostering immersive and emotional experiences for those within and around the structure.
